Our Mission: Why We Exist

We are a research centre at the intersection of academia, industry, and policy, dedicated to accelerating desirable futures.

In a world facing increasingly complex “Wicked Problems,” we believe in harnessing collective intelligence to create a better tomorrow.

Through our founding at Imperial College Business School and the Royal College of Art, we are on a mission to envision, orchestrate, and accelerate ways to address the most pressing issues of our time.

Our work spans a variety of approaches, from systems thinking, human centred design, futures thinking, business model design to deep tech acceleration.

We lead global programmes to address complex issues and develop the tools, methods, and processes needed to solve them.

Our focus areas include Earth and Climate, Space, Oceans and Water, and Frontier Technology.

Envision
We use collective imagination to envision desirable futures, moving beyond incremental change to create bold, new possibilities.
Orchestrate
We skillfully orchestrate resources, talent, and ecosystems, bringing together diverse stakeholders—from Innovation Managers to Policy-Makers—for holistic, collaborative wicked problem-solving.
Accelerate
We accelerate the implementation of solutions by providing practical, hands-on tools, training, coaching, consulting and educational programs. Our offerings include digital collaborative tooling workflows, playbooks, toolboxes, executive education, and undergraduate and postgraduate modules. We also offer a wide range of educational programmes including BA, MBA and Exec-Ed to enable teams to address Wicked Problems.
